Anyone who's lived in NYC knows one of the best things about the city is people-watching. “New York is Falling in Love” and “Manhattan Girl” were both inspired by that feeling.
The track was recorded at Anchor studios, Jamaica. A few years ago the song received Honourable Mention in the USA Song of the Year songwriting contest.
The original version of this song (see First Takes) was entitled "New York Makes You Fall in Love" with the refrain "makes you fall in love" throughout the track.
