Jeremiah Joseph Shea (J. J. Shea) is singer/songwriter and a former Canadian Foreign Service Officer.
He has been writing and recording his original songs since his early teens - a love that continues to this day (he's working on an album of new songs).

This year J.J. Shea's songs did exceptionally well in the USA Song of the Year songwriting contest:
- Earthly Heaven received Finalist Placement/Folk Category
- Manhattan Girl received top Finalist Placement/Rock Category
- His Lyrics Only Category submission received top Finalist Placement
- And New York (Makes You Fall in Love) - a simple guitar/vocal version of his New York recording - received a Semi-Finalist Placement
